AllerTool is a web server providing integrated tools useful for assessment of allergenicity and allergic cross-reactivity of protein sequences. The analysis tools include a sequence similarity search tool for assessment of allergenicity in accordance to FAO/WHO Codex alimentarius guidelines, a SVM-based method for prediction of protein allergenicity with no similarity to known allergens, a modification of BLAST that displays cross-reactive allergens, and graphical representations of cross-reactivity information. The main purpose of AllerTool is the support of molecular studies of allergens, the assessment of allergic responses and of allergic cross-reactivity

Three models are built to transform protein sequences into presentative features. Extensive testing was performed for validation of the prediction models. Testing results show that AllerPred is both sensitive and specific, with promiscuous predictive ability (AROC: 0.92~0.85).
